Recalling Labor Day during the Lockdown in Nepal

Image
It is hard to say whether it’s my addiction and affection towards social media or the social media’s strong domination over my actions that is changing my daily routines. These days, scrolling Facebook right after waking up feels more important and refreshing than getting up and having breakfast. Following my usual routine, this morning also I opened my Facebook to read some news, memes and to enjoy plant photos shared by different newspapers and indoor gardening groups that I liked and followed on Facebook. Unlike other days, the newsfeed seemed more decorated and filled with wishes and slogans of the Internation Labor day since it was the 1 st of May of 2020. Suddenly, my mind started recalling all the painful photos of the Nepali workers during lockdown that have been shared on Facebook for a couple of weeks ago. Coincidently, I also found a decade-old photo from my archive where Porters are carrying heavy loa...

My 8-month old Photo: More than just a Memory!

Image
Photography is my passion, not profession!  Yes, I take many photos almost every day, maybe because my eyes are too greedy for every ordinary object in my surroundings or maybe I just like to fill my memory space, hoping that I'll be stopping to click more. I don’t know if it is my good or bad fortune, but neither has my tiny camera lens ever asked for rest, nor the modern devices have put any narrow limitation of memory space so far. Rather, my attachment with the images changed into a never-ending relationship, it feels . Sometimes, I also like to invest a couple of minutes to generate some random either informative or entertaining stories. But my photo gallery is much bigger than the storylines because I always agree that every picture can offer several stories. And undoubtedly, there is a reason why many others like me are very much into admiring the strength of the images. Because, no matter if we extract their stories into texts or just let themselves...

Every Season Has A Reason!

Image
After a month-long Christmas decoration and New Year celebration atmosphere, the festival season in many European countries including Norway has been paused for this year. The  New Year's Eve celebration with the lights and sound of the fireworks proudly switched the winter silence and darkness of the midnight into a great musical festival. And wonderful dawn this morning gladly presented a new and exciting Year, 2019 to the Oslo residents. The first sunrise view in Oslo on the very first day of the Year 2019. The sunrise is not only the hope for this human civilization but also the greatest reason for every season.   31 st December 2018, the last day of the year and a transit period before a new sunrise in 2019. For some reason, the white and quiet evening felt a bit different than other usual days. The cold Oslo atmosphere seemed more warm and delightful with hundreds of colorful fireworks, light-full decoration for the New Year's Eve celebrat...

"Happy Birthday to Me" :) The Culture of Attention!

Image
November, a cold month, and not so favorite time for many of us, however, my heart gives more attention and respect to this month every year. November 25, a special day of my life to be thankful to myself for making me stronger to continue my life journey ahead, regardless of many challenges and obstacles. This nearly three-decade-long life has already offered me a lot of happiness, a bundle of sorrows, hundreds of obstacles,  thousands of life lessons, and uncountable priceless memories. This year, Sunday, 25 th Nov 2018 not only changed my age number but also changed my birthday experience. I still don’t know who is responsible, my poor memory or too caring technology?   It was all about the last weekend. After I came to Norway, I noticed that abroad studies, student life, assignments, and weekend jobs are more like a synonym to each other and it has become the same routine of my (international student) life as well. On Saturday, 24 th Nov I have been worki...
